Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Latin cuisine dishes, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation standards are met.
- Follow established recipes meticulously while also demonstrating creativity in dish execution.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pots, poaching tools, and other culinary appliances.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation.
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control to support high-volume production needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Adhere strictly to food safety management protocols and food industry regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary aide roles or similar food service positions, preferably within fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Strong knowledge of Latin cuisine, including techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other traditional cooking methods.
- Demonstrated ability to handle food preparation tasks with precision, including knife skills and recipe adherence.
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Background in food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling best practices.
- Prior restaurant or catering experience with a focus on food production and meal preparation.
- Excellent culinary skills complemented by a passion for authentic Latin flavors.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
