Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift | $19.25 per Hour
Location: East Providence, RI 02914
Pay: $19.25 per hour, (includes shift differential)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
A well-established manufacturing company in East Providence, RI is hiring three dependable Packaging Associates for its 2nd shift team.
This position is a strong fit for candidates with picker/packer, production packaging, shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, or light manufacturing experience. Employees package finished products coming from a conveyor, complete visual quality checks, label and seal packages, and move completed products into the warehouse.
This is not a forklift or powered industrial truck position.
Responsibilities:
- Package finished products into designated bags and boxes
- Use counting scales, box-taping machines, labeling equipment, and auto-bagging equipment
- Follow established packaging instructions and quality standards
- Inspect parts and completed packages for visible defects
- Remove defective products from the packaging process
- Record production and quality information accurately
- Move completed products from the packaging area into the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on packaging equipment
- Cross-train and assist in other production areas when needed
- Follow all safety, quality, and personal protective equipment requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous picker/packer, packaging, shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
- Basic computer and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written packaging and quality instructions
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required for the position and workplace safety
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit / stand throughout the shift
- Ability to use hands for repetitive packaging and product handling
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Close and color vision sufficient to inspect products
- Ability to work around moving production equipment in a moderate-noise environment
- Closed-toe shoes are required
The company provides required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, a hair net, and a lab coat.
Schedule and Breaks:
- Monday through Friday
- 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (2nd Shift)
- One unpaid 30-minute meal break
- Two paid 15-minute breaks
Candidates must be able to consistently work the full schedule and reliably commute to East Providence, RI.
