Overview
Profab Electronics is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation and reliability of our electronics manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment used in PCB assembly and electronic manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys solving technical problems, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where equipment uptime and product quality are critical.
Duties
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronics manufacturing equipment, including SMT assembly equipment, PCB handling systems, automated assembly equipment, and support machinery.
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
- Install, assemble, calibrate, and align manufacturing equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and support production goals.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist with equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and new production line deployments as needed.
Requirements
- Must be a Permanent Resident or USA citizen
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical equipment failures and perform effective repairs in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Commitment to following OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
