Position Overview
Trek Prosthetics & Orthotics is seeking a motivated and compassionate Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care while utilizing the latest prosthetic and orthotic technologies to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.
This role involves evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, designing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices, and collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to assess prosthetic and orthotic needs.
- Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, and care.
- Monitor patient progress and make modifications to devices as needed to ensure comfort and functionality.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology, clinical practices, and industry standards.
- Deliver outstanding patient experiences through compassionate, personalized care.
QualificationsRequired
- Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC), or Board Eligible.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred
- Previous clinical experience in prosthetic and orthotic patient care.
- Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Work Location: Travel between Athens and satellite clinic locations throughout North and Central Georgia.
