Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 36 Hours/Week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract at a rehabilitation facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. If you're passionate about helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive therapy team with a consistent weekday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
- Accurately document treatments and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Active Virginia PTA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
