Overview
This job allows you to work either Local or Long Haul.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers across designated routes.
- Secure freight using load locks.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition.
- Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of route driving, freight handling, load & unload procedures, and delivery operations.
- Green Card holder or US Citizen preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and brokers.
Pay: From $0.60 per mile
Work Location: On the road
