Overview
We are seeking professional Armed Security Guards (FLEX TEAM) dedicated to safeguarding property, assets, and people across Alameda/Oakland and surrounding areas to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a vigilant protector, utilizing your security expertise to maintain a safe and secure environment across multiple client sites. Whether patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, or responding to incidents, you’ll play a vital part in creating a secure space for everyone involved.
This position is on-call and ideal for individuals who are adaptable, reliable, and eager to gain experience at a variety of posts.
Flex Guards perform the same duties as our regular site-assigned officers; however, they do not have a fixed post. Instead, they are deployed as needed across the Oakland/Alameda area. Flex Guards are given priority consideration for permanent site assignments as they become available, prior to hiring externally.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas using surveillance equipment and physical inspections to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to identify suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, including alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations while maintaining safety and professionalism.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and documenting incidents thoroughly.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff, and visitors.
- Support multiple sites based on operational needs.
- Uphold all company policies and procedures with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Active California Guard Card (REQUIRED).
- Active California Exposed Firearms Permit (REQUIRED).
- Must provide your own Level 2 or higher ballistic vest and professional duty holster; these items are not supplied by the company. (REQUIRED)
- Reliable transportation and ability to respond to on-call assignments.
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles with a strong understanding of conflict resolution.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining high levels of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
