Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic .The Paraprofessional – Community Support Team (CST) provides direct, community-based support to individuals receiving behavioral health services. The paraprofessional works as part of a multidisciplinary CST to help clients achieve goals identified in their Person-Centered Plan (PCP), develop daily living and coping skills, improve social functioning, and increase independence. This position collaborates with clinical staff, families, schools, DSS, and other community providers to ensure consistent and supportive services.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized, and community-based support to clients receiving CST services.
- Assist clients in developing coping, social, communication, behavioral, and daily living skills.
- Support the implementation of goals and interventions identified in the client's Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
- Reinforce therapeutic strategies and recommendations provided by the clinical team.
- Assist clients with accessing appropriate community resources and support services.
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior, needs, progress, or safety concerns to the CST team.
- Provide support during behavioral or emotional challenges and follow established crisis and safety plans.
- Encourage independence, positive decision-making, self-advocacy, and appropriate community participation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, schools, DSS, healthcare providers, and other service providers as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete service documentation.
- Participate in CST team meetings, staffings, trainings, and case reviews.
- Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality at all times.
- Follow Ethos Services policies, procedures, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state regulations.
- Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with clients and their support systems.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health, behavioral health, developmental, or social-service needs preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
- Must be able to complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
- Must successfully complete all required agency and state-mandated training.
- Must pass required background checks and employment screenings.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Ability to provide services in community-based settings and travel between service locations as needed.
- Ability to respond appropriately to behavioral, emotional, and crisis situations.
- Commitment to providing person-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed support.
This position will provide community-based services throughout Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, Wilkes, and Alleghany Counties, North Carolina. Candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the assigned service area.

Pay: $22.72 - $27.37 per hour
