We’re looking for a dependable, animal-loving Reptile Caretaker with some sales experience to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on with reptiles and helping customers find the right animals and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Daily care of reptiles (feeding, cleaning enclosures, monitoring health)
- Maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized habitats
- Assisting customers with reptile care, supplies, and basic husbandry advice
- Sales of animals, feeders, and merchandise
- Restocking and general shop upkeep
Requirements:
- Basic customer service or retail/sales experience
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- Willingness to learn species-specific care and shop procedures
- Must be comfortable handling live animals and feeder insects/rodents
- Must be able to lift and move 60lbs comfortably
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience handling and caring for reptiles (personal or professional)Knowledge of multiple reptile species
- Previous pet shop or exotic animal experience
- Point-of-sale (POS) system experience
