Product Development Coordinator

Position SummaryThe Product Development Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), setting up products in Nesterwood software, and supporting the product development process to ensure accurate manufacturing documentation. This position works closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and product development teams to prepare products for manufacturing while maintaining data integrity and production efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing furniture products.
- Set up new products and revisions within the Nesterwood software system.
- Enter and maintain product specifications, components, and manufacturing data.
- Verify the accuracy of material requirements, hardware, foam, fabric, and wood components.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure BOM accuracy.
- Review engineering drawings and product specifications to develop manufacturing documentation.
- Process engineering change requests and update BOMs and system data accordingly.
- Maintain organized product records, revision histories, and documentation.
- Assist with new product introductions and ensure products are production-ready.
- Support inventory accuracy by maintaining correct component information.
- Troubleshoot BOM discrepancies and coordinate corrections with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline product setup and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, product development, engineering support, or production planning preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Experience using Nesterwood or similar manufacturing software preferred.
- Understanding of upholstered furniture manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour
