Duties
- Assess patients’ physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans to address their specific needs and goals.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for wound care, behavioral interventions, and injury prevention.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams via telehealth platforms to coordinate care and share vital patient information.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary during patient visits or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds to ensure respectful and personalized care delivery.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist with current registration in good standing.
- Proven experience working with culturally diverse communities, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy and wound care procedures.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation.
- Experience with behavioral interventions and patient treatment planning tailored to individual needs.
- Ability to utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote consultations and follow-ups.
- Knowledge of hyperbaric medicine is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is appreciated.
