Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic
Position Summary:
An outpatient orthopedic clinic is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, proficiency in manual therapy techniques, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This position involves working collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and facilitate optimal functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Perform and assist with manual therapy techniques as appropriate within scope of practice
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, reporting findings to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care at all times
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong manual therapy skills required
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
