Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to take ownership of the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations.
This is a hands-on bookkeeping position for someone who is comfortable working independently and managing the full bookkeeping cycle. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, completing reconciliations, and ensuring financial information is current and accurate.
This position requires a high level of organization, accuracy, confidentiality, and accountability. The Bookkeeper will work directly with company leadership and will be expected to manage assigned responsibilities independently, identify discrepancies, and communicate financial issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's day-to-day bookkeeping operations
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and vendor payments
- Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding invoices
- Record and categorize financial transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and financial statements
- Process biweekly payroll through ADP, including entering, reviewing, and submitting payroll
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee-related financial records
- Review payroll for accuracy before submission
- Monitor expenses and ensure transactions are properly recorded
- Maintain organized vendor files and financial documentation
- Complete month-end bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and provide financial information to company leadership as needed
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QuickBooks records
- Ensure bookkeeping records are organized and ready for reporting and tax purposes
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company financial and employee information
- Communicate financial concerns, discrepancies, or missing information to leadership
- Occasionally answer the office telephone and assist with basic administrative needs when necessary
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience with full-charge or full-cycle bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
- Experience processing payroll independently
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Experience with ADP or another payroll processing system
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple financial responsibilities
- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion
- Reliable attendance and strong follow-through
- Clear and professional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a small business environment
- Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple locations or entities
- Experience with payroll tax reporting and payroll reconciliations
- Experience preparing financial statements and management reports
- Experience working directly with business owners or executive leadership
Additional Information
- This is a part-time, in-person Full-Charge Bookkeeper position.
- The primary focus of this position is bookkeeping and financial operations.
- Administrative responsibilities are occasional and secondary to the bookkeeping role.
- The successful candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of the company's bookkeeping responsibilities and working independently.
- No weekend work is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
