Responsibilities
- Conduct routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying baskets to maintain pristine water conditions.
- Perform water testing and adjust chemical levels using proper handling techniques for water treatment chemicals to ensure safe and balanced water quality.
- Inspect and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools, ensuring all systems operate efficiently.
- Diagnose mechanical issues within pool plumbing systems and execute repairs or replacements as needed to prevent downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records of work performed, chemical treatments applied, and equipment repairs for each client site.
- Assist with the installation of new pool components and perform routine maintenance tasks to prolong equipment lifespan.
- Follow safety protocols strictly when handling chemicals and operating machinery to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the pool maintenance or related industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair equipment and troubleshoot plumbing systems effectively.
- Familiarity with water treatment chemical handling and pool cleaning techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams related to pool systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate service records.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
