- Conduct regular job site safety inspections, audits, equipment checks, and hazard assessments

Lead and document toolbox talks, safety meetings, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)

Communicate OSHA and company safety requirements clearly to field crews and subcontractors

Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations; track corrective actions to completion

Maintain accurate safety documentation, training records, and compliance logs

Serve as a point of contact during OSHA inspections and regulatory visits

Analyze safety data and trends and recommend corrective or preventive actions

Coach and influence superintendents, foremen, and crews to reinforce safe work behaviors

Support the Safety Manager with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects

Enforce Suntec’s safety policies, procedures, and standards across all active job sites
- 2–5 years of construction safety experience (commercial, structural concrete, or heavy construction required)

Bilingual in English and Spanish (must be able to conduct safety conversations in both languages)

Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards

Experience conducting job site safety inspections and incident investigations

Ability to confidently engage field crews and stop unsafe work when necessary

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites

Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening

Experience in structural concrete or heavy civil construction

OSHA 30 Certification (required if not already held)

OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500 (preferred; required for advancement within the safety department)

First Aid / CPR (required within 6 months of hire if not already certified)
We are seeking an experienced bilingual Safety Coordinator (English/Spanish) to support active job sites, work directly with field leadership, and help drive continuous improvement across our safety program. This role is field-focused and requires daily interaction with concrete crews, superintendents, and subcontractors on active construction sites.
