Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic optical laboratory team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the manufacturing and quality assurance of ophthalmic lenses, ensuring precise production and adherence to laboratory procedures. Duties
- The Laboratory Technician supports food safety and quality teams by performing routine analytical testing, monitoring instrumentation, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role contributes to maintaining product integrity and a strong safety culture through accurate testing, preventive maintenance, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct routine product tests and inspections on raw materials, in‑process, and final products.
- Instrumentation: Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs on analytical equipment.
- Documentation: Record and interpret test results in databases; prepare routine reports.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally to support food/feed safety and regulatory culture.
- Support Tasks: Handle clerical, administrative, and technical issues under supervision; escalate complex matters.
MUST HAVE:
- Must have laboratory testing experience, preferably in food manufacturing, food processing, beverage, dairy, or quality control environments
- Must have experience performing routine analytical testing and quality testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products
- Experience supporting food safety, quality control, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance programs is highly preferred
- Must have experience documenting test results, maintain records, and communicate findings to internal teams
- Experience performing calibration checks, preventive maintenance, or basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment is highly preferred
- Candidate should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, dust, extended standing, climbing ladders, and performing facility inspections
- Experience following SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, food safety procedures, and regulatory requirements is a strong advantage

Shift Timing 1: 6 AM - 6 PM
Shift Timing 2: 6 PM - 6 AM
Weekly schedule: M-F

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
