Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Regional Community Manager to lead and oversee the operations of multiple residential communities within a designated region. This vital role involves fostering vibrant, inclusive, and well-maintained communities by managing property teams, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Regional Community Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for property staff, residents, vendors, and community stakeholders, driving operational excellence and resident satisfaction across all managed properties.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of multiple residential properties, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, Fair Housing laws, and local landlord-tenant laws.
- Lead, motivate, and support property management teams to achieve occupancy goals through effective leasing strategies, upselling amenities, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Ensure all properties are compliant with legal administrative processes, including Rent Manager property management software, OneSite systems, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Manage lease negotiations, contract administration, and renewal processes while ensuring accurate data entry and filing of all relevant documentation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor property maintenance standards, facilities management, and overall community appearance.
- Resolve conflicts between residents or staff promptly through effective conflict management techniques while fostering a positive community environment.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new residents and retain current ones by leveraging sales skills and customer relationship management tools.
- Collaborate with legal teams on lease agreements, eviction procedures, and compliance issues related to landlord-tenant law.
- Maintain detailed records of property activities, incident reports, inspections, and compliance documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Rent Manager; experience with CMMS systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques, upselling amenities or services to enhance resident retention.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing systems, and office administration tasks such as photocopying or filing documents.
- Knowledge of facilities management practices including property maintenance coordination and vendor relations.
- Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and contract discussions.
- Legal administrative experience related to lease contracts or housing compliance is highly desirable.
