Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy construction machinery and driving dump trucks to transport materials efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise in equipment operation, maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure smooth project progress and a safe working environment. Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and other construction machinery with precision and safety.
- Transport construction materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other aggregates to designated locations on-site or between sites.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with excavation, grading, utility locating, and site preparation tasks as needed.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Support construction utility work by assisting with utility locating and installation tasks under supervision.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and transportation records for project documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience (3 years)
- Strong mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility work, and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform construction utility work such as utility locating and installation support.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Skilled in heavy equipment operation with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Mechanical aptitude for maintaining and troubleshooting construction machinery.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while adhering to all safety standards.
