Position Overview:
Road & Rail Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will support daily warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, and preparing products for shipment while helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and can work successfully in a fast-paced team environment.
What You'll Do:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be an important part of keeping operations running smoothly. Daily responsibilities include receiving materials, maintaining inventory, preparing shipments, and supporting the overall organization of the warehouse.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Organize and store products according to warehouse procedures
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while following safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with routine stock counts
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn. Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but we are also willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license required
- Forklift certification is a plus, but training may be provided
