We are seeking enthusiastic tutors in Downey, CA who enjoy working with High School Graduates at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall School during school hours (8 hrs per day and 5 days a week). The tutors will help the students in various ways including academic tutoring, counseling, or college guidance.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Must be Patient, responsible and passionate about teaching
- Must have strong communication skills to educate and motivate young students
- Previous experience as a tutor for Trauma Tutoring is a plus
- Must be current credentialed teachers, sub-teachers with college AA, BA, MA degrees, or college students with a least 60 core units
- Must be able to provide proof of a current TB Test (within past 4 years) and a complete criminal background check with the DOJ and FBI
- Must be able to commit for at least six months of tutoring with our company
Company Description
We are a state approved SES provider and we work with Los Angeles County Office of Education to provide Foster Youth Tutoring services to qualified students within Los Angeles County. Our tutoring pay rate is up to 25/hr for 1-on-1 tutoring based on tutor's qualification and teaching experience. If you are interested in being a tutor with our company, please send us your resume.
