Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves providing guests with an exceptional dining experience by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS, restaurant experience, and food handling knowledge are highly valued. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and upholding food safety and sanitation standards.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with setting tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not required
