Lead Registered Nurse (RN) — Residential Program for Children & Adolescents
Location: St. Augustine, FL (Onsite)
Pay: $72,800/year + full benefits
Schedule: Weekdays and occasional after-hours support
About the Opportunity
A mission-driven nonprofit residential program serving children and adolescents in St. Augustine, FL is hiring a Lead Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee nursing operations within its residential behavioral health program.
This is a hands-on clinical leadership role for an experienced RN who wants to combine direct pediatric/adolescent care with team supervision, medication oversight, and program-wide health compliance — all within a structured, supportive residential setting.
Position Overview
The Lead RN supervises the nursing team (LPNs), manages all medication systems and clinical documentation, ensures regulatory compliance, and steps in as needed to support direct care for the children and adolescents in the program.
Responsibilities
- Supervise LPN nursing staff and provide ongoing clinical guidance and support
- Oversee all medication management processes for residential youth
- Coordinate bi-weekly psychiatric tele-clinics via Zoom (single session for all youth)
- Maintain compliance with 5339 forms, court orders, and regulatory standards
- Conduct intake medical reviews, medication reconciliation, and AIMS assessments
- Coordinate with therapists, case managers, pharmacies, and providers
- Prepare and manage medication supplies for off-campus trips and home visits
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, compliance, and clinical documentation systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Pay: $72,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
