American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring critical care and Impella/IABP experience, with on-call responsibilities.

Cardiac Cath Lab within the Level A Main Hospital, featuring 3 cath labs, an in-patient holding area, and a radial lounge for out-patients
-
Adult patient population undergoing procedures such as left and right heart caths, TAVR, TMVR, stents/angioplasty, atherectomy, mechanical thrombectomy, IABP, Impella, Mitral Clip, and more
-
Utilizes specialized equipment including OCT, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, IABP, Pacers, Rota, CSI, Opsens, Cath Works, and Penumbra

EMR systems used: Sunrise/Allscripts and Mac Lab
-
Cath Lab hours are 7:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday, shift scheduled 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

24-hour on-call coverage required with self-scheduling

Call typically averages one weekday and one weekend per month, weekday call 4:30 PM-7:30 AM and weekend call Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM

No floating required

Active RN license (NH or compact) required

BLS and ACLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Critical care experience required

Impella and IABP experience required

Experience independently titrating drips required

US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)

One professional reference required (two required for Florida or Missouri candidates)

No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Provide RN care in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab performing complex interventional and structural heart procedures

Team includes 7 Cath Lab techs and 13 RNs, plus 5 RNs and 1 LNA in the Radial Lounge

Best suited for candidates who are efficient, easygoing, and have a good sense of humor

Ceil blue scrubs provided by the hospital

Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
