Overview
Ek4kid is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bus Attendant to ensure the safety and well-being of students during their transportation to and from school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, and possess strong communication skills. As a Van Attendant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive environment for students while managing their behavior and addressing any conflicts that may arise.
Duties
- Supervise students during bus rides to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, providing support as needed.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a calm and respectful atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding any concerns or incidents.
- Support students with special needs by adapting to their individual requirements.
- Monitor student interactions to prevent conflicts and promote positive relationships.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
