We are seeking a motivated and dependable Surgical Dental Assistant to join our periodontal practice 4 days per week (Tues-Fri).
Our office focuses on periodontal and implant surgery in a professional, patient-centered environment. We are looking for someone who is organized, compassionate, and works well as part of a team. Candidates must have the ability to educate and communicate information to patients, including accurate documentation to referring offices. We are a specialty office that requires exceptional care and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include the following
- Assist the Doctor during a variety of treatments, exams, & procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written form
- Take radiographs, photos and CBCT exams and upload to patient chart
- Perform the setup and breakdown of all operatory equipment, instruments, and documents
- Maintain accurate dental charts and documentation, updating patient records and treatment plans
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and offer assistance with follow-up care
- Uphold infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience in periodontics or a related field is helpful, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; attention to detail is a must
- Proficient writing skills are a must
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
