Duties
- Monitor access points to control entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring proper authorization at all times
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to oversee premises and identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Perform routine patrols of the property to identify hazards, unauthorized activity, or safety concerns
- Assist visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
- Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism, de-escalating issues effectively
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately and promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR to provide immediate assistance during emergencies
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response plans
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with diverse individuals
