An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Labor and Employment Litigation Associate with 4–6 years' experience to join a highly regarded national law firm within its Labor & Employment practice in Tampa, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators, advising a diverse portfolio of business clients across a wide range of employment disputes and workplace matters.
The firm acts for organisations across numerous sectors, including healthcare, financial services, energy, telecommunications, and other major industries. The Role You will play a key role in managing employment litigation matters from inception through to resolution, working both independently and collaboratively on complex cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad caseload of Labor & Employment litigation matters.
- Representing employers in workplace disputes and employment-related claims.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other court documentation.
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategy. Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials where appropriate.
- Working closely with clients to provide commercially focused legal advice.
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions.
About You
- The successful candidate will possess:
- 4–6 years' experience in Litigation with a strong focus on Labor & Employment Law.
- Admission to the Florida Bar. Experience managing litigation matters with an appropriate level of autonomy.
- Excellent advocacy, drafting, and legal research skills.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
