Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Swim School Deck Manager to oversee the daily operations of our swim school facilities in MORRIS COUNTY AND surrounding areas. This vital role involves managing swim classes, coordinating staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and creating a positive environment for learners of all ages. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, strong leadership skills, and experience working with children and sports activities to foster a fun, safe, and engaging swimming experience for all participants.
Duties
- Supervise daily swim lessons and ensure smooth class transitions
- Coordinate schedules for instructors, lifeguards, and coaching staff
- Enforce safety policies and emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment
- Assist with behavior management and motivate students to achieve their swimming goals
- Support instructors in delivering engaging lessons that incorporate sports coaching, martial arts, or physical education techniques such as karate, judo, or climbing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck area
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management to ensure high-quality service and safety standards
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a background in swimming - this can include high school swim team, competitive swimming - whether as a coach or a swimmer
- Must hold a current Lifeguard Certification or be able to pass the Lifeguard certification test prior to starting
- Previous experience in customer service
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of instructors and coaches
- Passion for fostering a positive and safe environment for swimmers of all levels

Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of front desk experience, customer service or administrative experience, experience in classroom teaching, or any other equivalent experience.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual, organized and professional
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and ability to learn customer database system
- Flexible schedule, including weekend
