Job Summary:
The Commercial Seamstress is responsible for producing high-quality stitchwork used in the manufacturing of our products. The position involves utilizing commercial-grade equipment such as change-stitch and serger (AKA overlock machine) machines and working with a variety of different materials. The role requires collaboration with other experienced seamstresses and production team members, under the guidance of the General Manager.
Job Description:
- Perform precise stitchwork for a variety of products
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to design specifications
- Read and interpret product design drawings and dimensions
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure consistency and workmanship standards
- Collaborate with Production Specialists throughout the assembly process
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of the equipment and facility
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company values
- Provide exceptional Customer Service through any interaction
- Monday-Friday, 8-5pm, overtime as required
Qualified candidates must have:
- Experience operating commercial sewing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and safely operate machinery
- Ability to work with ambiguity and meet long term goals without daily oversight
Preferred but not required skills can include:
- History following standardized work instructions (fast food, automated warehouse, etc.)
- Experience in a warehouse or similar production setting
- Fluent in Spanish
