Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available units, highlighting features and amenities to generate interest.
- Effectively negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and move-in dates to secure agreements that benefit both the applicant and the property.
- Market available units through various channels, including online listings, social media, and community outreach efforts to attract diverse applicants.
- Screen applicants thoroughly by verifying employment, rental history, creditworthiness, and adherence to fair housing laws.
- Maintain organized records of leasing activities, applications, and lease agreements using property management software.
- Communicate clearly with applicants about leasing procedures, community policies, and legal requirements such as real estate law and fair housing regulations.
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure all leasing activities align with company standards and organizational goals.
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service or sales roles with strong negotiation skills.
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative functions is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations, real estate law, and property management best practices.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging with diverse communities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for building rapport with prospects and team members.
