Part-Time Live Online Auction Sales Host
Location: Lake in the Hills, IL (In Person – Local candidates only. Out-of-state applicants will not be considered.)
Position Type: Part-Time (Typically 1–2 shifts per week. Top performers can earn additional hours based on performance and business needs.)
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay plus incentives. Exceptional hosts have opportunities to earn additional compensation.

Hertel's Coins, Inc. is looking for a confident, energetic communicator to host our live online auctions and help drive competitive bidding from collectors across the country.
This isn't simply presenting products.
Your job is to create excitement, build value, engage buyers, and encourage competitive bidding throughout each live auction.
Every show is different. Every audience is different. If you enjoy thinking on your feet, talking with people, and influencing buying decisions through great communication, this may be one of the most unique part-time opportunities you'll find.
Coin knowledge is not required. We'll teach you about coins.
We're looking for someone who already knows how to connect with people.

Hertel's Coins is a family-owned coin and bullion company with a nationwide customer base. Our live online auctions attract collectors from across the country who compete to purchase rare coins, bullion, and collectibles.

Experience That Transfers Well
Previous experience is helpful but not required.

- Live selling (eBay Live, Whatnot, TikTok Live, etc.)
- Retail sales
- Automotive sales
- Jewelry sales
- Auction environments
- Bartending
- Hospitality
- Product demonstrations
- Brand ambassador roles
- Public speaking
- Broadcasting or media
Reliability Matters: Our live auctions begin on time, every time. Customers are waiting. Inventory has already been prepared. Your teammates are counting on you. Excellent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism are essential.
Schedule
- Part-time position with approximately 1–2 shifts per week.
- Typical shifts are approximately 4.5 hours.
- At least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) is required each week.
- Top performers can earn additional hours based on performance and business needs.
- Flexible availability between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM is helpful, with weekend availability being the highest priority.
This Role May Not Be a Fit If...
- You dislike interacting with people, or are generally shy.
- You prefer highly structured or scripted work.
- You become uncomfortable leading a live audience, or leading at all.
- You struggle to maintain energy throughout a multi-hour event.
- You have difficulty maintaining reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to work on-site in Lake in the Hills, IL. Remote candidates will not be considered.
