Position Overview
Sea Grill Restaurant & Bar is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Server Assistant to support our service team in delivering an exceptional fine dining experience. This role is much more than clearing tables—it is an essential part of creating a seamless, elegant dining experience for every guest.
The ideal candidate understands that hospitality is communicated through professionalism, awareness, anticipation of guest needs, and the ability to move confidently and discreetly throughout the dining room.
ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience
- Assist in delivering a polished and memorable fine dining experience.
- Anticipate guest needs before they are requested.
- Maintain water service, table maintenance, and guest comfort throughout the meal.
- Support servers in ensuring each course is delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain composure and professionalism during busy service periods.
Silent Service
- Execute service with minimal interruption to the guest experience.
- Communicate quietly and professionally with teammates.
- Move through the dining room with awareness, avoiding unnecessary noise or disruption.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently while remaining unobtrusive.
- Never auction food or interrupt conversations unnecessarily.
Dining Room Standards
- Ensure tables remain immaculate throughout service.
- Polish and inspect glassware, silverware, and china to Sea Grill standards.
- Keep service stations clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing side work thoroughly.
- Maintain an exceptional level of cleanliness throughout all guest-facing areas.
Food Service Support
- Deliver food accurately, confidently, and with urgency.
- Learn menu items, ingredients, common allergens, and preparation methods.
- Assist with tableside presentations when requested.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, food runners, bartenders, and servers.
Professionalism
- Present yourself with confidence, poise, and attention to detail.
- Maintain impeccable personal grooming and uniform standards.
- Demonstrate exceptional posture, body language, and professionalism throughout every shift.
- Treat every guest interaction with warmth, respect, and discretion.
- Represent Sea Grill with the highest standards of hospitality.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
