About Carpenter’s Café
At Carpenter’s Café, we believe great hospitality starts with great people. As part of The Commons, alongside Soul Tea, we’re creating a space where guests gather for delicious food, handcrafted beverages, live music, private events, and genuine connection.
We’re looking for friendly, dependable team members who enjoy serving others, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of something special.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests with friendly, attentive service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Serve meals, coffee, tea, and specialty beverages
- Maintain a clean, organized dining room and service stations
- Process guest payments using our POS system
- Work alongside the kitchen and bar team to ensure excellent service
- Support private events, catering, and community gatherings
- Complete opening, side work, and closing responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events
- Food Handler Certification preferred
- TABC Certification preferred (if serving alcoholic beverages)
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 25 pounds
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the café
- Work efficiently during busy meal services and events
