We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and documenting relevant information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Support various departments including Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Dermatology, Geriatrics, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed.
- Foster a positive patient service experience through effective communication and empathy.
Experience
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred, particularly in Internal Medicine or Urgent Care environments.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
