Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization standards are met
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by handing tools, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
- Take and develop diagnostic radiology images as required for treatment planning
- Collect blood samples and perform basic medical testing to support diagnosis and treatment processes
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately, documenting patient information, treatment notes, and medical history
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Report patient conditions and respond promptly to any concerns or emergencies during appointments
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within healthcare or dental settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and diagnostic radiology procedures
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems is essential
- Strong patient service skills with excellent communication abilities to engage clients effectively
- Manual handling skills for safely managing medical instruments and assisting with patient mobility when needed
- Prior exposure to acute care environments or plastic surgery clinics is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene
