Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between patients and the dental team, providing clear explanations of treatment options, procedures, and financial policies
- Schedule appointments efficiently using patient management software and coordinate treatment timelines to optimize clinic flow
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and assist with financial arrangements in accordance with health insurance policies
- Communicate effectively via phone and client communication channels to confirm appointments, follow up on treatment progress, and answer patient inquiries
- Ensure strict adherence to health regulation policies and maintain patient confidentiality at all times in compliance with privacy laws
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, managing correspondence, and updating patient information using Microsoft Office tools
Skills
- Proven experience in a dental office setting.
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and maintaining compliance standards
- Proficiency with Dentrix
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patients
- Familiarity with health insurance processes and billing procedures
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality
- Solid understanding of dental terminology
- Effective phone communication skills combined with strong organizational abilities for scheduling and client interaction
- Fast and accurate typing skills to support administrative documentation
