American Traveler is hiring a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including required Hybrid OR vascular experience, for a 12-week day shift contract.

Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
-
May float within scope of practice to another nearby facility as needed
-
Procedures include angioplasty, carotid stenting, EVAR, TEVAR, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, dialysis graft creation/revision, fistulograms/declots, central venous access/port placement, and upper and lower extremity angiography

Work settings include a Hybrid OR and Interventional Radiology suite

Equipment used includes fluoroscopy, Philips imaging systems, PACS, and ultrasound (preferred)

Vascular closure systems utilized include Perclose and StarClose
-
Epic EMR — experience required

3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Call requirement of 15 days per month, including weekends

Minimum of 3 years of IR or vascular experience required

Hybrid OR vascular experience is a hard requirement
-
BLS certification required
-
GA or Compact state license required — license required if applicable

Copies of all certifications listed in the position description required for consideration

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration

Proficiency in scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field
-
Experience with vascular closure systems, endovascular interventions, and vascular studies/procedures
-
First-time travelers will be considered, provided they have Hybrid OR vascular experience
-
Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for a full year from all associated network facilities before being eligible to return as a traveler
-
RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
-
If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them and no holiday RTO may be requested
-
If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
-
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
