About Engides Engineering:
This is primarily a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with flexible workload based on your availability and licensing coverage (We pay per job, and we have quite a work load).
Engides Engineering is a rapidly growing engineering and design firm providing Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering services throughout the United States. As our project volume continues to expand, we are actively seeking licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) to join our network.
The more states you are licensed in, the better.
This position is ideal for experienced engineers looking for flexible project-based work while maintaining their current employment or consulting practice.
Position Overview
We are seeking licensed Professional Engineers who can provide engineering oversight, review engineering packages, and apply their professional stamp to projects in states where they are licensed.
Our internal design team handles much of the drafting, calculations, and project development. Your primary role will be to review work, ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards, provide guidance when necessary, and stamp projects within a reasonable timeframe.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering plans, calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Provide engineering oversight and quality control.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national codes.
- Stamp and seal engineering documents in states where you hold active licensure.
- Communicate with our engineering and project management teams regarding revisions and comments.
- Assist with technical guidance when required.
- Maintain professional and ethical engineering standards.

Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Ability to legally stamp and seal engineering documents.
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes and engineering practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to review projects and provide timely feedback.
- Ability to work remotely.
Highly Preferred
- Licensed in multiple states.
- Experience with residential and commercial projects.
- Experience reviewing Structural, Civil, and MEP plans.
- Ability to respond quickly and maintain reasonable turnaround times.
