Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate / Order Fulfillment & Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on role in a small business environment, responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping logistics.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team. This position plays a key role in ensuring customers receive their orders accurately and on time while maintaining an efficient and safe warehouse environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Stock, organize, and maintain products in designated warehouse areas
- Clean and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift experience required)
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Repeatedly perform heavy lifting and movement of products throughout the day (up to 50 lbs)
Order Fulfillment & Processing
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Verify order accuracy (items, quantities, and shipping details)
- Handle custom orders and special packaging requests
- Maintain organized packing and shipping areas
- Perform order picking, packaging, and fulfillment tasks daily
Shipping & Logistics
- Generate shipping labels and coordinate pickups/drop-offs (LTL, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues
- Handle all shipping-related issues, including damaged or broken pallets received or returned
- Assist with shipping and receiving, including checking in merchandise
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory tracking and audits
- Report low inventory and maintain accurate records
Customer Support
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping, and delays
- Handle returns, exchanges, and damaged shipments
- Process returned items, including physical handling and restocking
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, fulfillment, or retail is required
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Experience with order picking, packing, and fulfillment processes
- Familiarity with shipping systems and basic computer programs (Microsoft, shipping software) is a plus
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills are a must – our customers are very particular, and every order is different. Accuracy is critical, and the ability to ask questions and confirm details for each shipment is essential
