We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper at Sun Harbor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
Completing specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Cleaning and polishing furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating or cooling units, etc., in resident rooms and recreational areas.
Sanitizing bathroom fixtures and ensuring watermarks are removed.
Cleaning windows, mirrors, floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings.
Removing dirt, dust, grease, and other residues from surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
Ensuring that work and cleaning schedules are followed closely.
Reporting all accidents and incidents to your supervisor immediately.
Coordinating daily housekeeping services with nursing services.
Adhering to all HIPAA requirements and established fire safety policies.
Following safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
Maintaining work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
Mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Reporting hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor.
Using personal protective equipment when handling infectious materials and hazardous wastes.
Participating in in-service training programs for handling potential exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Ensuring adequate supply of housekeeping supplies and informing supervisor of supply needs.
Reporting maintenance issues such as burned-out light bulbs.
Assisting with lifting heavy equipment or supplies as needed.
Cleaning and properly storing equipment at the end of each shift.
