DEFINITION
Campus Services will perform a wide variety of functions related to the general maintenance and cleaning in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs a variety of general building maintenance duties including but not limited to general semi-skilled electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry work

Lifts, stacks and moves heavy furniture, equipment and materials
-
Grounds keeping duties may be required
-
Responds to service requests and coordinates resources
-
Implements the set up and take down of furniture and equipment for a wide variety of campus and school events
-
Performs various maintenance and custodial duties such as installation and repair to fixtures in restrooms, labs and classrooms
-
Reports and responds to emergency calls for custodial assistance
-
Schedules, coordinates, direct and perform routine and comprehensive maintenance
-
Operates power equipment such as pressure washer, hand and power tools and campus vehicles
-
Removes trash in accordance with established procedures
-
Troubleshoots and repairs minor plumbing and electrical problems; replaces a variety of light bulbs and lighting accessories
-
Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies; tests and evaluates new supplies and equipment
-
Other duties as assigned
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
KNOWLEDGE OF

Basic tools employed in building maintenance and custodial work
-
Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and construction practices
-
Proper use of a wide range of chemicals according to state and federal regulations
-
Handling and disposing of hazardous materials and blood borne pathogens with care
ABILITY TO

Work with pesticides

Safely dispose of hazardous materials

Identify stains and use proper chemicals for their removal

Operate manual and power equipment

EDUCATION
-
High School diploma or GED
-
One year of general maintenance experience
-
Custodial and building maintenance in a school setting preferred

Background in construction trades preferred
