Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Mechanic / Shop Technician to support our maintenance operations. This role involves assisting with mechanical work on trucks and equipment, general shop duties, and preparing to serve as a backup LP delivery driver when needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and willing to grow within the company.
Responsibilities

Assist lead mechanics with maintenance and repair of propane delivery trucks and equipment

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

Help manage tools, parts, and shop inventory

Support compliance with safety standards and regulations

Train to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Serve as a backup LP delivery driver when required
Requirements:
Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in automotive, diesel, or equipment repair preferred

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians

Ability to lift, carry, and work in a physically active environment

Strong work ethic and reliability

Valid driver’s license (required)

Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL

Commitment to safety and teamwork
Preferred (Not Required):

Experience with propane systems or fuel delivery

CDL or prior commercial driving experience

Basic knowledge of DOT regulations
