InGenesis is seeking a Statistician to support our client. In this role, you will analyze social determinants of health data alongside administrative claims and electronic health records to evaluate how these factors impact health outcomes. You will work closely with business and clinical stakeholders, clearly explaining statistical methods, results, and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide data science and statistical support for projects related to population health, education research, workforce analytics, program evaluation, personalized medicine, and translational research.
- Develop models using administrative, clinical, and social health data.
- Apply statistical and analytical methods, including:
- Statistical analysis
- Data mining
- Predictive analytics
- Time series analysis
- Multivariate regression
- Statistical process control
- Optimization techniques
- Analyze complex problems and deliver practical, data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with data stewards, IT teams, business analysts, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
- Evaluate how data warehousing and computer networking impact data analysis and usage.
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including state agencies and policymakers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Healthcare, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Statistician, Informatics professional, Senior Analyst, or a related role.
- Experience managing and supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with statistical software, databases, and programming tools such as:
- R, SAS, STATA, SPSS, MATLAB
- SQL, Python, Java
- Hadoop, Pig, Hive, MapReduce
- Tableau, Excel, and other big data technologies
- Experience working with various data formats and sources, including relational databases, XML, JSON, CSV files, text data, sensors, activity trackers, clickstreams, social media, and geolocation data.
- Strong written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, AI and machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, or the ability and willingness to learn.
