Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD/CAM Designer (Digital Data Entry) to join our digital dental laboratory team. This role combines digital case management with CAD/CAM design responsibilities, ensuring accurate data entry, efficient workflow management, and the production of high-quality dental restorations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of dental anatomy, restorative principles, and digital dentistry workflows, with the ability to accurately manage digital cases while creating precise, functional, and esthetic restorations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, organize, and manage digital dental case information, including prescriptions, patient data, digital impressions, and supporting documentation.
- Review incoming digital cases for completeness, accuracy, and production readiness before processing.
- Prioritize cases based on production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Design crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, implant-supported restorations, and other dental prosthetics using CAD/CAM software.
- Analyze digital scans, prescriptions, and clinical instructions to create accurate, functional, and esthetic restorations.
- Modify and refine digital designs based on dentist feedback, production requirements, and quality standards.
- Ensure all digital designs comply with laboratory quality standards, restorative principles, and clinical specifications.
- Maintain accurate digital case files and update case statuses throughout the production process.
- Collaborate closely with production technicians, milling, printing, and finishing teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely case completion.
- Identify and troubleshoot design or data discrepancies and recommend workflow improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information while ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
- Stay up to date with advancements in CAD/CAM technology, digital workflows, and dental laboratory best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a dental laboratory, CAD/CAM design, digital dentistry, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Exocad, 3Shape Dental System, or similar dental CAD software.
- Experience designing crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, implant restorations, and other dental prosthetics.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, restorative principles, and dental terminology.
- Experience reviewing and managing digital dental cases, prescriptions, and digital impressions.
- Excellent data entry accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret digital scans and medical imaging for restorative design.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency with digital workflows, case management systems, and dental laboratory software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while consistently meeting quality and turnaround standards.
- Experience using precision measurement tools and maintaining high-quality control standards.
