Duties
- Assist carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and cabinetry work to ensure project progress.
- Prepare and organize construction sites by handling hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and materials efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, drywall, and equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and assist in accurate execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and assisting with site cleanup.
- Daily organization of tools and materials onsite.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or related fields such as manufacturing or remodeling is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, blueprint reading, schematics, and basic construction techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, bending, climbing ladders/scaffolds, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites to ensure personal safety and that of team members.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently when needed.
- Basic understanding of various trades such as plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, or cabinetry is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is required.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
