Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent - Commercial Landscape to lead our landscape construction projects with energy and precision. This position requires travel within West Texas and some overnight stays as project demands. In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale commercial and landscape projects, including irrigation, and hardscape while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. Your leadership will drive project success while managing teams and maintaining high standards across all phases of construction.
Responsibilities
· Lead and manage multiple residential & commercial landscape projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
· Supervise and work alongside on-site crews, subcontractors, while providing clear direction and managing team performance effectively.
· Review construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to interpret project requirements accurately.
· Coordinate construction schedules.
· Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
· Oversee construction site safety management, quality control measures, and environmental considerations throughout project phases.
· Collaborate with project managers.
· Ensure all work complies with local construction regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
Requirements
· Proven experience supervising residential/commercial landscape, irrigation, and hardscape projects with a strong background in construction management.
· Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, and other relevant tools.
· Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and project scheduling techniques.
· Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and construction site safety management practices.
· Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment; excellent crew management skills.
· Strong communication skills for managerial coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
· Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately; experience with construction drawing review is essential.
· Knowledge of budgeting processes including cost control measures; experience managing contracts is preferred.
· Construction site experience specifically within the commercial landscaping sector is highly desirable.
Equipment & Logistics
· Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment are maintained and operating safely.
· Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
· Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
· Assist with loading, transporting, and organizing equipment for travel
· Administrative Responsibilities
· Complete daily work reports and job documentation.
· Track labor hours and productivity.
· Communicate daily progress with project manager
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial landscape installation experience.
- At least 2 years of crew leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Commercial landscape & hardscape installation
- Residential landscape & hardscape installation
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to tow trailers and operate landscape equipment safely.
- Willingness to travel throughout West Texas and stay overnight when projects require it.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, wind, dust, and changing weather conditions.
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Texas Irrigation License or irrigation experience
- Texas Pesticide Applicator License
- CDL (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
