Position Summary
Employnet is seeking a detail-oriented
Touch-Up/Rework Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and reworking electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong soldering skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform touch-up, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and components.

Conduct precision soldering and desoldering of through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) components.

Identify and correct defects such as solder bridges, insufficient solder, misplaced components, and damaged circuitry.

Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.

Utilize microscopes, soldering stations, and hand tools to perform repairs and inspections.

Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer requirements, and quality specifications.

Document rework activities, repairs performed, and quality findings accurately.

Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve product issues and improve processes.

Support production goals by maintaining productivity and minimizing scrap and rework costs.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, rework, or soldering preferred.

Knowledge of SMT and through-hole component rework.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and assembly instructions.

Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Familiarity with IPC standards is a plus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer and documentation skills.
