Paraprofessional – School-Based | Carlsbad, CA | $24.43/hr
ProCare Therapy is seeking paraprofessionals to support students in a school-based Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) near Carlsbad. Candidates must be comfortable working closely with students who require behavioral and special education support services.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 support to students with behavioral needs within the ELOP program
- Assist students with behavioral challenges and implement support strategies as directed by school staff
- Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment
- Support students with daily living skills, including toileting assistance when required
Qualifications:
- School-based experience OR behavioral/SPED experience required
- Candidates with only babysitting or childcare experience will not be considered
- Comfortable providing 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day
- Strong communication, patience, and behavior management skills
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: August 11, 2026
- End Date: June 3, 2027
Schedule:
AM Shift
- Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
PM Shift
- Monday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Tuesday–Friday: 2:18 PM–6:00 PM
