Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care aid to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety to residents in our Personal Care facility. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide support in daily living activities as needed, including personal care and mobility assistance
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence in decision-making processes
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care
