Family owned liquor store is looking for a friendly and professional Cashier/Sales Associate to manage transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Ideal applicants would have previous experience with customer service in a retail environment and foundational knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
Job Duties
- Provide prompt and courteous service, including greeting customers.
- Guide customers to right product, answering questions and offering recommendations.
- Operate cash register system accurately and efficiently, including checking ID's.
- Perform shift opening and/or closing paperwork.
- Must stock and re-stock shelves, replenishing product in shelving and coolers.
- Regular cleaning of restroom, counters, floors, coolers, equipment and dusting shelves.
- Perform additional duties as needed, including receiving orders and reviewing inventory.
- Utilize bilingual skills in Spanish to assist Spanish-speaking customers a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- Highly motivated self-starter, who enjoys working independently and part of a team.
- Able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Good math skills, strong communication and time management skills.
- Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales.
- Familiarity with cash register and POS.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
Pay is dependent on experience.
